The electric powertrain under the hood of the 2019 LEAF generates 214 horsepower, far above the 134 horsepower of the WV e-Golf. What’s more, the LEAF features a total autonomy ranging from 243 to 263 km, depending on your choice between the 40 and the 62 kWh batteries. Meanwhile, the e-Golf total autonomy only reaches 201 km.

The LEAF also boasts a remarkable energy-efficiency of 1,9/2,4 L_e/100 km (city/highway) and can be charged up to 80% capacity in only 40 to 60 minutes with a level 3 charger (480 V). Last but not least, the LEAF is equipped with the one-pedal driving mode, which allows the driver to slow down, and even come to a full stop, simply by releasing the accelerator! The brake pedal is always there and available for emergency braking.

Greater Options with the LEAF

The LEAF is available in 4 different versions, which can be fully customized with a wide selection of optional features and equipment. Its Volkswagen rival, however, is only available in a single version.

A Spacious Cabin Teeming with Technology

The 2019 Nissan LEAF boasts a spacious cabin for up to 5 passengers and a generous trunk of 668 L (compared to 645 L for the e-Golf). And if you need even more trunk space, the trunk can reach a capacity 850 L when the rear seats are stowed. And why not treat yourself to its heated front and rear seats (only heated front seats are offered by WV), an automatic air filter, navigation system, Apple CarPlay compatibility (not available with the e-Golf), and much more.
